Lisa Fizpatrick told us some great secrets about how to keep your skin looking fresh:

Her secret (skin) weapon is Omega 3; she told us that it can slow down the ageing process by keeping the skin moist from within and even protect it from sunburn!

Lisa says that for healthy skin the foods you put into your body are as important as the products you put on it! Lisa try's to include as many Omega 3 products in her diet as possible, which mainly includes lots of oily fish and Tuna, she is a particular fan of John West Tuna with Omega 3, which she uses to make healthy Nicoise salads.

Lisa also told us that Omega 3 reduces the body’s production of the natural chemicals which are involved in the ageing process. Talk about a natural facelift!

For good skin we need Protein and Vitamin A, as well as Omega 3. Protein helps make collagen and helps the skin to repair and heal quickly. Vitamin A revitalizes the skin by increasing the rate at which new cells replace old ones.

She suggests that you drink plenty of fluids to re-hydrate your skin - try to drink 8 to 10 glasses of liquid per day, preferably water. This will also help to remove unwanted toxins from your system and leave you with glowing skin.

Lisa believes that Sun protection is vital – even in Ireland! Exposure to the sun can cause damage to the skin so always, always wear a sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 15
